Indexable inserts AGP®
Turning tools for machining aluminum

The indexable insert system for turning aluminum, plastics, PTFE, Teflon, brass and copper. These inserts are circumferentially ground and have a polished, highly positive rake face. Available in ISO inserts CCGT, DCGT, TCGT and VCGT codes.

Indexable inserts quality - carbide K10:

The uncoated all-round indexable insert system for turning aluminum, plastic, brass and copper. This insert is circumferentially ground and has a polished, highly positive rake surface.

Indexable inserts quality - SH2:

The indexable insert system for turning aluminum, plastics, brass and copper. These inserts are circumferentially ground and have a polished, highly positive rake face.

Indexable inserts quality - SD1:

This diamond-coated indexable insert is particularly suitable for the machining of GRP / CFRP materials and ceramic green compacts.

Indexable inserts quality - SD2:

Diamond-coated indexable insert for achieving the highest surface quality when turning GRP / CFRP materials with high filler contents.

Indexable inserts quality - SD3:

Diamond-coated indexable insert for turning graphite, carbide and ceramic green compacts.

The SCHELL SD diamond coatings are manufactured by chemical vapor deposition (CVD). The advantage compared to polycrystalline diamond (PCD) is the high purity (99% diamond content) of the diamond layer and the resulting higher hardness and wear resistance of the indexable inserts.

The hardness of the SCHELL SD1 / SD2 / SD3 diamond coatings is thus almost identical to the hardness of MKD, but not anisotropic, d. H. not directional. With SD1 / SD2 / SD3 diamond-coated indexable inserts, it is also possible to produce high-gloss machining, which was previously only possible with MKD tools.

For the roughing of aluminum and for interrupted cuts in turning we also recommend the use of the SCHELL PCD indexable inserts .
